Who we are
Labels News operates this website. Contact: info@labelsnews.com.
What we collect
- Account data: your name, email, a secure hash of your password, and your marketing preference.
- Profile data you choose to publish: professional profile fields, and the visibility and contact settings you select. We record when you consented to publication.
- Company data submitted or edited by members, including evidence supplied with a claim (visible only to our moderators).
- Messages and enquiries you send us, with the consent statement you agreed to, the page you sent it from, and any campaign tags in the link you followed.
- Newsletter subscriptions: your email, chosen topics and consent record.
- Analytics: the page path, the previous page on this site, and a visitor code that changes every day and cannot be traced back to you. We do not set analytics cookies or store your IP address. We ignore Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control browsers entirely.
What we do not do
- We do not import data from LinkedIn or other networks. A LinkedIn link appears only if you add it.
- We do not publish email addresses of professionals. Messages are routed through us.
- We do not sell personal data.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. It is not used for tracking.
Your choices and rights
- Change profile visibility, contact settings and newsletter preferences at any time in your account.
- Download all data we hold about your account from your account page.
- Delete your account from your account page; this removes your profile and sessions and anonymises your enquiries.
- Unsubscribe from any email with the link it contains.
- Contact info@labelsnews.com for any other request.
Retention
We keep account and profile data while your account exists. Enquiries are kept as business records and anonymised when you delete your account. Daily analytics codes cannot be linked across days.
Security
Passwords are stored as salted scrypt hashes; session tokens are stored hashed; administrative areas are restricted by role; forms are rate-limited. If we become aware of a breach affecting your data we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
